Webcast/Video Conference Streaming Server?
I’d like to set up a streaming server for our organization. We currently have a Polycom RSS 2000 unit that would need a public side IP for users to access live and recorded video conferences. I would also like to set up so that we can do small-scale webcasts. I’m thinking we would need a digital camera, hooked up to a laptop with an MPEG-2 encoder or streaming card. This would then broadcast to our streaming server, which would display a link on our homepage. Am I missing anything, does anybody have any suggestions or recommendations. At the largest, I would guess probably 200-300 users would be viewing a webcast.
