Is it legal to work in the nude if I’m telecommuting?
I work from home one or two days a week (to save on gas). Is it legal to work in the nude, or do I still have to follow the company dress code? There is no video conferencing happening, only audio conferencing, and email/IM.
I’m working from home today and saw your question. Thought I would give it a try (wife at work, kids at school – Although it may be kind of fun with just the wife at home. But then i wosuldn’t get much work done). WOW! It is very comfortable! I did start getting a little chilly, though, so I got dressed again after about 45 minutes.
If no one is around (or those that are don’t care), go for it. I’m sure there are no laws about it. There may be a company policy, though. If you really want to find out if it is allowed, ask your manager about it.
